Algeria completed the semifinal picture at the Arab Basketball Cup 2022. They overcame UAE 73-66 in the last quarterfinal clash.
It was Algeria to take the lead in the game, while the hosts closed the halftime trailing only by one point. The third period was decisive in the game when Algeria needed a 21-14 rally to seal the win.
Abdellah Hamdini (200-F-92) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Mohamed Touati (215-C-87) added 12. Kamel Ammour (203-F-91) and Touhami Ghezzoul (209-C-87, college: N.Dakota St.) followed them with 11 points each in a win. Qais Alshabebi (200-C-91) answered with 22 points in defeat and Rashed Al Alzaabi (189-G-88) scored 19.
